Recovery & Reintergration
Programme

Recovery and Reintegration New Zealand

Programme Overview

At GracePoint, our New Zealand–based Recovery and Reintegration Programme supports people who have already done the hard work of rehabilitation. Instead of stepping straight back into everyday pressures, they move into a steady, supportive environment where they can rebuild confidence and regain stability.

Participants join us after completing programmes for drug or alcohol addiction, mental health recovery, or burnout. We build on that progress and help them prepare emotionally, socially, and practically for life beyond structured rehabilitation.

Each day blends structured learning with shared community living, so participants develop healthy routines, contribute to daily life, and build meaningful connections with residents and staff along the way.

As a result, they leave not only with renewed resilience but also with real-world skills, supportive relationships, and a clearer sense of readiness to re-enter wider society with strength and purpose.

  • Have completed a drug or alcohol rehabilitation programme and want a supportive bridge before returning to everyday life

  • Have worked through a mental health recovery programme and would benefit from a structured, community-based environment to strengthen their progress

  • Have experienced significant burnout and need time to rebuild healthy rhythms, confidence, and emotional resilience

  • Have begun a strong healing journey but don’t yet feel ready to step straight back into the full pressures and pace of regular society

  • Are caring for a loved one with long-term illness or disability.

  • Work in a caregiving or helping profession (e.g. support worker, nurse, counsellor, social worker).

  • Are feeling emotionally worn out, overlooked, or unsupported.

  • Would benefit from a short break to recharge in a peaceful, guided setting.

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants often experience greater stability, improved self-awareness, and practical routines that support their ongoing wellbeing. Through supportive community living and guided reflection, they can strengthen healthy connections and build confidence in managing everyday life. As a result, many leave feeling more prepared and better equipped to continue their journey back into wider society at a pace that feels right for them.

Murray (Muzz)

“I arrived lost, living in my van with winter approaching, struggling with a back injury and my mental and emotional health at a low point. All I was looking for was a place to stay. My first evening, the whānau — the family-like community here — welcomed me with a warmth and genuine compassion I hadn’t expected. Within that first week, something began to shift. My thinking changed, my heart changed, and I found myself surrounded by people I now call brothers and sisters. Community meals, honest conversations, personal counselling, time in the art studio and the gym, and swimming in the sea — even alongside dolphins — all became part of my healing. This place gave me the space to rest, to find myself again, and to move forward.”
